Legal Agreements

Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: August 2, 2026

Welcome to Cogvia. These Terms & Conditions govern the web design, development, and hosting configuration services provided by Cogvia to educational clients.

1. Scope of Development Services

The developer agrees to build websites in accordance with the features detailed under the selected pricing package (Starter, Professional, or Premium). Any additional pages, plugins, or custom database portals requested after project signing will be billed separately as custom milestones.

2. Milestones & Payments

All projects follow a structured payment format:

  • 40% Non-Refundable Advance Payment: Required to register directories, set up templates, and purchase sandbox servers.
  • 40% Mid-Development Payment: Due immediately upon showcasing full responsive pages on our private testing domain.
  • 20% Final Handover Payment: Paid prior to files upload, pointing nameservers, database configuration on the public domain, and providing admin logins.
3. Intellectual Property & Code Ownership

Upon final balance clearance, the client holds absolute intellectual ownership of the graphics, files uploads, and HTML/CSS/PHP scripts. The developer retains the right to display design screenshots in their portfolio as social proof. The client agrees not to resell the custom PHP source code to third-party developers.

4. Domain and Shared Hosting Servers

The client is responsible for paying annual domain registration and Hostinger shared hosting server fees directly to the domain registrar or hosting provider. The developer is not liable for website outages or downtime caused by host server issues, billing failures, or domain expiry.

5. After-Sale Technical Maintenance Support

Free maintenance support covers fixing page bugs, broken links, database connection failures, and guidance on notice postings. Support does not cover redesigning pages, writing new courses content, or creating custom portals. Post-support maintenance is available as a paid annual plan.

6. Limitation of Liability

The developer is not liable for data loss, lost school admission revenues, or security breaches resulting from client password sharing, database credential exposure, or server provider faults.
